Education to Employer Roundtable Discussion Series

Education to Employer Roundtables

The Education to Employer events are going virtual! The McLean County Community COMPACT hosted in-person summits last year that focused on opening conversations about innovative collaborations taking place at the secondary (high school) and post-secondary (college) level.

In 2020, our summits are being reimagined into a series of roundtable discussions via Zoom to continue creating conversations across the academic and business sectors during the pandemic and beyond.  The first set of roundtables will kick-off in November and December with the purpose to increase outcome-based collaboration through the creation of actionable steps to develop a robust, diverse, and work-ready talent pipeline.

These events are open to all educators, employers, and community leaders who would like to be part of the conversation regarding workforce development in McLean County.

The main question being asked:  “What are your needs and where should we as a community focus our efforts?”

For each roundtable participants will gather via Zoom in the “main room” and then will be broken into virtual breakout rooms for small groups for discussion and then be brought back to the large group for reflection and sharing calls to action.

Attendees will be encouraged to engage in conversation beyond the Education to Employer roundtable discussion series. To engage further, please join our Education to Employer Roundtable networking group via LinkedIn where we'll post program information including:

  • Session summaries
  • Program videos
  • Identified action steps
  • Resources for increasing collaboration
